Security often gets in the way of other initiatives such as mobility and voice-data convergence. Mobility, including wireless technology, has the potential to expose corporate networks to intruders, leak sensitive data, and subject the enterprise network to virus and worm outbreaks.
I-RAS Environmental Policy
I-RAS Solutions takes its environmental responsibility very seriously. Listed below are a few of the ways we try to enforce a greener corporate attitude towards the environment.
- All staff, clients and suppliers are encouraged to act responsibly towards the environment, for example in the signature for each email there is a message ‘ Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail‘.
- I-RAS Solutions promotes the re-use of materials and takes an active role in encouraging recycling; all printer cartridges are recycled and have a dedicated bin with routine collections, the office water cooler users the mains rather than using plastic bottles which would require a delivery.
- I-RAS takes an active role in reducing the consumption of materials; I-RAS Solutions pride themselves on being as close as possible to a paperless office. All I-RAS correspondence is sent via email instead of post, all payments are made online, so cheques are never written and all company banking is done on-line.
- I-RAS Solutions actively recycles whenever possible- Recycle bins for paper are placed throughout the office one per every two employees, all cardboard is recycled through communal bins.
- I-RAS Solutions considers the environmental impacts of the materials we purchase at all stages of their life cycle, with this in mind I-RAS contributes to a sustainable use of materials by giving all old computer equipment to charity.
- All I-RAS staff are encouraged to reduce their environmental impact by using public transport wherever possible.
- I-RAS Solutions always insure the products they resell include the image of a crossed out wheeled bin, to inform and remind out clients that electrical equipment must be recycled in the correct way.
